The fact that G’eedup isn’t supposed to be a master scientist or anything like that made this page somewhat difficult to write as I struggled with how a non-genius type would explain things.

What, you thought our Teenage Negro Ninja Thrasher just had a cool skateboard and that was it? G’eedup obviously has much more than that up his sleeves…
Sometimes I have to remind myself and all you readers out there just why I do what I do and why Stealth exists!

Just to remind everybody, Stealth has been nominated for the 2011 Black Weblog Awards in the Best Gaming or Comics Blog Category. This is a tremendous honor and I encourage everyone to to vote for Stealth while there is still time! Thanks!
As mentioned earlier, this little story is a “tribute” to all those “great” black skateboarding heroes and villains who dominated comic pages for a time. Some of you undoubtedly caught them right away but there are a couple of direct references on this page that will maybe become much clearer if you read about this proposal by the late great Dwayne McDuffie (hat tip to longtime Stealth fan JR Carter for picking up on this one right away!). On top of that, there are references all around this week as the second panel is a direct nod to a scene from this page. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say Allen is developing an unfortunate little habit here. Of course, he’s actually on an official date with Carrie here but was just a guest at Ashley’s party so…
PS- Feel free to read whatever you want into my emphasis on the word “just” up there.
