by William Satterwhite on April 27th, 2010

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN: The Animated Series, Disney XD 2011

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN: The Animated Series, Disney XD 2011

Also posted on my Tumblr. Really not sure what to make of this, the Spectacular Spidey series seem to have already filled the niche of what an Ultimate Spidey cartoon would fill and did it very well. Spectacular Spidey was arguably the best cartoon Marvel has ever had.

HTML Comics

Also posted on my Tumblr. Saw this posted on Rich Johnston’s Bleeding Cool, apparently its an ad-hoc library for old comics. Interesting idea but I’m not sure how solid the protective measures are, seems people have already figured out how to retrieve images from the cache. That being said, this seems like an idea that would be worth exploring for someone (or a coalition of someones) with the resources to really take it to another level.

Jim Cameron’s Spider-Man “scriptment”, with storyboards

by William Satterwhite on April 12th, 2010

Also posted on my Tumblr, courtesy of Bleeding Cool. This is neat, I’m sure most of you are familiar with the Cameron Spider-Man movie “scriptment” but the storyboards are a new and interesting treat to me. The site itself is a bit confusing to navigate at first but it’s a quick adjustment. Back when I was in the early days of doing Stealth, this “scriptment” was arguably one of my biggest influences, I loved the way Cameron took the original Spidey story and put something of a modern edge to it- that influence can really be seen in the next series of “issues” after the origin.

The Comics Detective: E. C. Stoner: The Forgotten Trailblazer

Also posted on my Tumblr. Saw someone post a link to this on Facebook, fascinating article, I have to admit I’m a little disappointed that this is the first I’ve heard of this man and his status as one of the first black artists to work in the comic book industry (if not the first). The speculation that he may have helped others like Matt Baker get work and establish themselves is especially interesting.
